Sealy Posturepedic Mattress
The Posturepedic Mattresses Are Pricey But With A 20 Year Guarantee

The Sealy Posturepedic mattress line consists of four different models, where each is available in a variety of firmness and comfort levels.

The Sealy Posturepedic line includes the traditional inner spring, the Spring Free, the PurEmbrace and the Posturepedic TrueFoam mattress.

All of the Posturepedic line of Sealy mattresses have been engineered under the advisement of an orthopedic advisory board made up of doctors, orthopedic surgeons and clinicians.

These mattresses are designed with the intent to eliminate the restless tossing and turning caused by the discomfort associated with pressure points.

Here's a look at the four lines of the Posturepedic mattresses from Sealy:

Sealy Posturepedic Inner Spring

The Sealy mattress line with inner springs has three series of mattresses: Good, Better and Best and are priced accordingly. The "good" line is Sealy's line of simple innerspring mattresses and is available in different comfort options from firm to ultra plush and is constructed with edge support.

The "better" Sealy innerspring mattress combines memory foam and coils. The mattress is 2 inches thicker than the "good" line.

The "best" Sealy innerspring mattress has even more coils and a core of memory foam and latex. This mattress is an inch thicker than the "good" line.

If you like an inner spring mattress, you can't go wrong with a Sealy mattress. The "best" line gives you the best of both a spring mattress and the new latex foam core mattress. In our experience they are firm and supportive yet comfortable.

The "best" line of Sealy Posturepedic inner spring mattress is very thick. You may have some trouble finding sheets to fit. The least expensive is the least comfortable and probably not a mattress you want to sleep on every night. It is, however, the least expensive.

Pros:
  • Quality inner spring mattress
  • The "better" or "best" is a great option if you're not sure you want to buy a latex mattress
  • Good value
Cons:
  • The low end does not offer exceptional comfort
  • Not antimicrobial or dust mite resistant

Sealy Posturepedic Spring Free

The Sealy Spring Free design uses a core of latex or foam rather than traditional springs. The Smart Latex patented by Sealy is antimicrobial and dust mite resistant. This is beneficial for anyone who suffers from allergies or asthma.

The latex foam mattress offers different levels of support for a variety of body types. It flexes and absorbs movement so that it is a good option for couples.

This Sealy mattress is breathable and made of durable, long lasting materials, designed to hold their shape. The Sealy mattress is available with your choice of comfort level from ultra firm to ultra soft.

The consumer reviews of the Sping Free Sealy Posturepedic mattress turn out to be better than they expected. Their biggest concern was that it would be hot like other latex and foam mattresses they have tried. But that was not the case as most consumers report that Sealy Spring Free was not hot at all.

The Euro Pillow Top Firm mattress model from this line is supportive yet hugs the body. It can flex a bit as you move and absorbs the body comfortably.

The Sealy Spring Free mattress maintains its shape unlike earlier memory foam designs. The mattress topper added softness while maintaining the firmness of the foam.

Pros:
  • Maintains even temperature
  • Firm, yet soft
  • Supports the body
  • Long lasting
Cons:
  • Expensive

Sealy Posturepedic PurEmbrace

The PurEmbrace Sealy mattress line is also a synthetic Smart Latex product that was designed to adapt to your body as you sleep, just as memory foam did, only better. It is breathable is better at keeping the body temperature consistent. It provides support and relief from pressure point discomfort and is hypo allergenic.

This model of Sealy mattresses comes in a variety of firmness levels and plush top material and comes with a 20 year guarantee.

The Sealy PurEmbrace is incredibly comfortable yet supportive and seems to cradle your body. It seems a bit hard at first but you will discover that it's just a matter of getting used to the feel of the latex. Pressure point pain and discomfort is clearly evident.

This Posturepedic mattress line is expensive, but the 20 year guarantee helps make up for it. If you can sleep comfortably on the same mattress for 20 years, it is worth the money!

Pros:
  • Comfortable, yet supportive
  • Body stays at an even temperature
  • Durable
  • 20 year guarantee
Cons:
  • Pricey

Sealy Posturepedic TrueForm

The Sealy mattress memory foam line is engineered with a high-density core that works with the upper memory foam layers to provide comfort, conformance and pressure relief for different body types. Weight is distributed evenly over the mattress surface.

The fabric used on the toppers has been designed to keep body temperature comfortable and to eliminate the overheating problem of previous foam mattresses. The Sealy TrueFoam mattress absorbs movement and provides stability.

The Sealy Posturepedic TrueForm mattresses are beautifully constructed and attractive to look at, but when you lie on them they tend to be too firm for some people. Sealy has taken care of the overheating issue by designing a surface product that allows the body to stay at an even temperature.

The Sealy TrueForm mattress feels very stable and supportive but is more comfortable to a small light weight person than to someone who is big boned or heavy.

Definitely try before you buy as there are different models within this line. It does come with a 20 year guarantee and Sealy honors their guarantees.

Pros:
  • Attractive and well made
  • Body stays at an even temperature
  • Firm and Supportive
  • 20 year guarantee
Con:
  • Too firm for some people
Sealy has eliminated the overheating and indentation problems of the earlier memory foams and have created an excellent product for allergy sufferers. The best Sealy Posturepedic mattresses are pricey but they do come with a 20 year guarantee.
