Sealy mattress warranty woes

by dissapointed buyer
(peterborough)

We bought a Sealy mattress that was supposed to have a limited replacement warranty for 20 years. After 6 years it developed significant depressions which spoiled the comfort of the mattress.

When I went to claim on the warranty I found out that their interpretation of the warranty was significantly different to mine resulting in them considering the warranty to be void in my case.

An exclusion that says they will not replace soiled fabric is interpreted by them as the warranty is totally void in such cases. I didn't want the fabric replaced I wanted the whole mattress replaced because of the depressions.

not satified

we bought a Pillow top Sealy mattress set. we have it for only six years. Very soft dentations more and more apparent.
my husband and I can hardly get up in the morning we are so sore.
Very disapointed.
As for the warranty I didn't try.
The mattress is spotless and looks brand new but I am sure that Sears would have another say making sure that the warranty doesn't cover.
it will be our last Sealy ever.

Sealy terrible warranty!
by: Anonymous

I was just reading the previous response and had the same experience. We have had our Sealy mattress for only a year- there are huge depressions in it and it has no support. When i called Sealy to discuss exchange they sent out 2 techinicians who claim the warranty is void because there is a small stain on it! beware of this scam!! someone should report them to the better business bureau...totally ridiculous and manipulative.

DO NOT BUY SEALY MATTRESS NEVER
by: Morales from Houston

MY STORY IS SIMPLE I BOUGHT THE FULL SET OF KING SIZE AT $1500 IN A ROOM STORE LOCATION HERE IN HOUSTON, AFTER 3 TIMES OF REPLACEMENTS OF THE MATTRESS, I FOUND THAT SEALY IS DOING THE PROCESS OF WARRANTY REPLACEMENT MORE IMPOSSIBLE THEN EVER!
NOW THEY WANT THE CLIENTS TO TAKE MEASUREMENTS AND PICTURES OF THE MATTRESS IN ORDER TO "PROCESS" THE CLAIM
AND ALSO THEY WANT THE CLIENT TO PAY FOR THE DELIVERY OF THE"NEW"(which is a refurbished o recycled) MATTRESS.

AND IF YOU MEET THEIR CRITERIA AFTER ALL THE REQUIREMENTS, AND OF COURSE BECAUSE YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS OR THEIR POLICIES.
BELIEVE AT THE END YOU WILL BE SLEEPING IN THE SAME EXPENSIVE AND DEFECTIVE MATTRESS.
THIS IS WAHT I CALL MONKEY BUSINESS.

We had the same experience
by: Anonymous

We paid $1200 on sale for a Sealy Posturpedic mattress and within a year we could hardly get out of bed in the morning. I also started to sag in spots. I went to where I had purchased the mattress and was more or less tough luck. Don't bother me. I asked for an address to send a complaint and the man refused to give it to me. He has since gone out of business. We are now on our 3rd bed. The sleep number bed is now killing us. I had a Stearns and Foster bed for 25 years and when it went so did a good nights sleep.
